FAIRFIELD, Calif. — A Vacaville man is now in custody, months after he allegedly hit and killed a female pedestrian in Fairfield.
According to the Fairfield Police Department, 21-year-old Jaered Diago of Vacaville was arrested Thursday.
The arrest comes after the deadly April 23 crash at Air Base Parkway and Wiley Lane. Officers arrived and found a woman lying in the road. She had been hit by a car, but no vehicles were nearby.
Officers identified Diago as a suspect the next day and spent months collecting evidence so they could get a warrant for his arrest. He is now in the Solano County Jail.
