TURLOCK, Calif. — A Turlock man was arrested and two others were found injured shortly after midnight Tuesday after an hourslong standoff with two hostages.
According to the Turlock Police Department, it started around 7:45 p.m. as a call for a disturbance on the 1700 block of Elmcrest Court. The caller told police 26-year-old Gerardo Partida was inside the home and threatened to assault her.
The caller said she and another relative of Partida locked themselves in the bedroom until officers arrived. Police said two made their way out of the bedroom window and met with officers, but two more family members were still inside the house.
Special weapons and tactics (SWAT) team members arrived around 12:30 a.m. Tuesday. Investigators found the two family members were being held against their will and in immediate danger of violence, police said.
