SACRAMENTO COUNTY, Calif. — A man is in custody after a deadly shooting Wednesday in the Florin area of Sacramento County.
According to the Sacramento County Sheriff’s Office, the shooting happened around 10:15 a.m. Wednesday along the 8100 block of Judette Avenue.
Upon arrival, deputies found a man who had been shot several times and he was pronounced dead at the scene.
Deputies found and detained 31-year-old Billy Polk at the scene. They say he matched the description of someone seen leaving the area after the shooting.
The sheriff’s office says detectives found Polk got into an argument with the victim when Polk shot him and ran away from the scene.
Polk was arrested and booked on suspicion of murder. He is being held without bail and is scheduled to appear in court on Nov. 22.
The victim has not been identified yet.
