Man dies after Mother's Day shooting in Stockton

Detectives say they were told Thursday the shooting victim died from his injuries.

STOCKTON, Calif. — A Stockton man has died days after being shot on Mother’s Day.

According to the Stockton Police Department, the shooting happened on the 2000 block of Dijon Street around 9:40 p.m. Sunday.

Upon arrival officers found the 39-year-old victim with a gunshot wound. He was taken to the hospital in critical condition.

Detectives were told May 16 the unidentified victim died from his injuries.

There is still no suspect information or known motive at this time.
