ARDEN-ARCADE, Calif. — A man's death is being investigated after security guards were attempting to detain him Saturday morning in the Arden-Arcade area.
The Sacramento County Sheriff's Office said a call in around 9 a.m. about a man being unresponsive while security guards were trying to detain him near a business on the 2700 block of Fulton Avenue.
Law enforcement said the man was a parked car in a parking lot when security guards went to detain him and he resisted being handcuffed.
The man became unresponsive after he was tased by a security guard and he was taken to the hospital where he was later pronounced dead.
Homicide detectives went to the scene, but the man's death is not considered a criminal investigation at this time.
