Man's body recovered from Modesto Reservoir

Officials say they were called to the reservoir about a possible drowning at the Modesto Reservoir Friday afternoon.

MODESTO, Calif. — A man drowned at the Modesto Reservoir Friday afternoon, according to the Stanislaus County Sheriff's Office.

Officials say they were called to the reservoir about a possible drowning. They began searching around 3:20 p.m. for a Hispanic man in his 50s.

A body was recovered and the coroner was called to the scene.

If you see anyone struggling to stay afloat in the water, officials urge people to call 911. This is the seventh drowning in Stanislaus County this year.
