Husband, wife killed in Antelope house fire identified

The fire happened around 12:25 a.m. Tuesday on Tartan Drive in Antelope. The cause is under investigation.

SACRAMENTO COUNTY, Calif. — The man found dead after a house fire in Antelope early Tuesday morning has been identified.

According to the Sacramento County Coroner’s Office, he was 80-year-old Lawrence Monroe.

The Sacramento Metropolitan Fire District says crews responded around 12:25 a.m. Tuesday to a house fire on Tartan Drive in Antelope.

Fire crews found one person dead inside the home. Another person, an unidentified woman, was injured and taken to the hospital.

Family confirmed to ABC10 Wednesday the woman, who they identified as 79-year-old Shirley Wolf, died from her injuries at the hospital.

The cause of the fire is under investigation.
