Man injured after shooting in South Sacramento

Police say a man was taken to a hospital after he was found with at least one gunshot wound.

SACRAMENTO, Calif. — A man is critically injured following a shooting at a South Sacramento neighborhood Wednesday, according to the Sacramento Police Department. 

Police said the shooting happened around 5:30 p.m. in the 7500 block of Franklin Boulevard near East Parkway. 

When officers arrived,  police said they found a man with at least one gunshot wound. 

He was taken to a hospital and is in critical condition. His identity hasn't been released. The Sacramento Police Department said due to the circumstances, homicide detectives and crime scene investigators were called out to investigate.

Police said there is no information about a possible suspect at this time.
