MODESTO, Calif. — A man was killed and three others injured after he collided with another vehicle during a chase in Stanislaus County.
According to the Stanislaus County Sheriff’s Office, it happened Monday as deputies tried to stop the man near Crows Landing Road and Boulder Avenue. He was wanted for several domestic violence-related charges.
The 40-year-old drove off and led deputies on a chase before he collided with another vehicle near Crows Landing Road and 7th Street.
Deputies found the suspect unresponsive after the crash and he was ultimately pronounced dead at the scene. The other car had three occupants – a man, woman and boy – and all three were taken to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
The driver is not being identified yet.
