Eighteen people, including three minors, are under arrest in connection in some capacity with a human trafficking sting in Manteca.
Manteca police in coordination with the San Joaquin County Sheriff’s Office conducted the sting in an effort to rescue victims of human trafficking and arrest the sexual predators who target minors.
The arrests were made April 14, police said.
The suspects were arrested in the operation for various offenses, police said. Some of the charges were offenses related to prostitution. Three of the arrests were for contacting a minor with the intent to commit a sexual offense. Those three subjects were booked at San Joaquin County Jail on felony charges.
Four subjects were arrested and booked for outstanding warrants.
