The growing and already historic Mendocino Complex Fire forced more evacuations Sunday evening in Glenn County.
The Glenn County Sheriff's Office says there is a mandatory evacuation order for areas west of County Road 306 to Lake and Mendocino County Line, including the National Forest area from the Glenn – Colusa County Line north to County Road 308. West of Road 306 to county line and south of Road 308 to Colusa County is also under mandatory evacuation.
Elk Creek and south to County Road 308 is under an advisory notice at this time, not mandatory according to the sheriff's office.
The Mendocino Complex Fire has burned more than 380,000 acres and is the largest wildfire in California history.
The Glenn County Sheriff's Office said Sunday night if you are in the mandatory evacuation area, please evacuate in a safe manner. If you are in the mandatory evacuation zone and need sheltering assistance, contact the sheriff’s office at 530-934-6431.
