Funeral arrangements have been announced for Brian Hughes, a firefighter who died Sunday, July 29, battling the Ferguson Fire near Yosemite National Park in California.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks memorial contributions be sent to either the Wildland Firefighter Foundation in memory of Captain Hughes or to the official GoFundMe page set-up by the Arrowhead Hotshots that will support his wife, Paige, and their child.
A memorial website has also been established in honor of Captain Hughes.
A memorial service is set to be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, Aug. 4, at Valdez Hall in the Fresno Convention Center, 702 M St. Attendees are asked to RSVP.
