FAIRFIELD, Calif. — A minor was arrested last Friday in connection with a gang-related shooting in Fairfield.
According to the Fairfield Police Department, the shooting happened February 2 behind the Walgreens on North Texas Street and Atlantic Avenue. One person was shot and a second person was almost hit.
Witnesses told police two men were fighting when one pulled out a gun and shot the other. The shooter then left the scene.
The police department's Special Operations Team found the suspect on April 5 in Vallejo and took him into custody on Interstate 80 near Red Top Road.
Police say the suspect, who was not identified because they are a minor, is a member of a criminal street gang.
