Man missing from Lathrop found dead in car in Tracy

Police say the man died from natural causes and is unrelated to the two other cases of bodies being found in Tracy.

TRACY, Calif. — A man reported missing from Lathrop was found dead in a car in Tracy Sunday morning.

According to a news release from the Tracy Police Department, officers responded to a report of a dead body in a vehicle on the 2400 block of Naglee Road around 9:15 a.m.

Responders broke one of the vehicle’s windows to get access to the body and police say it appears the man died of natural causes based on evidence at the scene. Police say the unidentified man was reported missing from Lathrop.

The Tracy Police Department also issued a statement about the two bodies recently found near Tracy saying the cases are unrelated.

CASE HISTORY

A body was found on the side of the road Jan. 5 south of Tracy. It’s being investigated as a homicide. The victim in that case was identified as Den'Nicia Watkins, according to her mother.

A second body was found near an irrigation ditch in Tracy Jan. 10. The person’s identity wasn’t released but police said they didn’t suspect foul play in that case.

Then, Sunday morning, a third body was found inside a vehicle on Naglee Road. Police don’t suspect foul play in that case either.
