A Modesto man has been arrested in a homicide investigation after a woman was found dead in an Oakdale home, according to the Stanislaus County Sheriff’s Department.
On May 1, deputies and emergency medical personnel responded to the 13000 Block of Horseshoe Road regarding a woman who was found dead in a home by family members. The victim was later identified as 40-year-old Aimee Crawford of Oakdale.
During the homicide investigation, detectives identified 54-year-old William Schendel of Modesto as a suspect. Schendel was later arrested on May 3 and taken into custody.
No further information has been released at this time.
