Modesto police are still looking for a man who identified himself as a police officer before assaulting a woman on Nov. 26, 2015.

The suspect was described as a white or Hispanic man in his 20s or 30s, about 5 feet 11 inches tall and weighing 240 pounds. The suspect had short facial hair with some sort of acne scarring. He was last seen wearing a dark color hoodie, baseball cap and sweatpants according to Modesto police.

Modesto police spokesperson Heather Graves said that the victim told police that she was driving on 13th Street when her car started to give her trouble.

The victim pulled over and, as she exited the car, she was approached by a man dressed in plain clothes who identified himself as a Modesto police officer, Graves said.

The suspect threatened to arrest the woman for a parking violation and then sat down in the passenger seat of her vehicle.

After several minutes, the victim started the car and began driving with the suspect still inside, Graves said.

The victim drove into a parking lot of a nearby business and, when she stopped, the suspect grabbed her chest, started to pull down his pants and attempted to take the keys out of the car, according to Graves.

The victim immediately drove out of the parking lot and stopped near a group of people. Once the suspect noticed the group, he got out of the car and fled.
