MODESTO, Calif. — A woman is dead after a crash Tuesday afternoon in Modesto.
According to the Modesto Police Department, it happened around 2:30 p.m. on the Carpenter Road overpass near South 9th Street.
Police say a Nissan Rogue was going north on the Carpenter Road overpass while a Toyota Tacoma was going south. The two vehicles ultimately collided.
The driver of the Nissan, an unidentified woman from Hilmar, was taken to a hospital where she died from her injuries.
Police say there's no indication drugs or alcohol contributed to the crash. What led up to it is under investigation.
