2 killed in Stanislaus County crash

Investigators say the car the two were driving in went off a cliff Friday night.

PATTERSON, Calif. — A car crash near the Stanislaus County town of Patterson left two Stockton men dead Friday, according to the California Highway Patrol.

CHP says the crash was reported around 9:14 p.m. Friday in the area of Del Puerto Canyon Road and Diablo Grande Parkway. Officers believe the two men were driving inside a 2004 Chrysler when they were unable to make a left turn.

The car went down a steep cliff and overturned, landing inside a shallow creek. Both the men, ages 24 and 27, died at the scene. Officers are investigating the crash.
