STANISLAUS COUNTY, Calif. — A man who drowned after his kayak capsized at Modesto Reservoir last weekend was identified as Michael Sorenson, 63 of Hughson.
The Stanislaus County Sheriff's Office said Sorenson was having trouble on the water when his kayak capsized on June 29.
Deputies said they tried to save his life, but he ultimately died. Sorenson was not wearing a life jacket, the sheriff's office said.
