MODESTO, Calif. — A suspected bicycle thief was arrested after the Modesto Police Department answered their listing on OfferUp.
According to Modesto Police Department, a $1,000 bike was stolen from a customer at a local gym. It was later found by the customer on OfferUp.
Police answered the seller's listing for the bike and arranged a meet-up. It ultimately led to the suspect's arrest and the bike being returned to its owner.
Police said they also found a large amount of methamphetamine on the suspect, leading to charges for drug transportation, sales and possession of stolen property.
