What year did Laci go missing? New Peacock documentary explores Scott Peterson case

This is the first time Scott has spoken on camera about the case since 2003, according to his sister-in-law Janey Peterson.

MODESTO, Calif. — A new Peacock documentary revisits a crime that rocked a California city and the nation in 2002 when an 8-month-old pregnant woman was killed and her husband was later arrested for killing her and their unborn son.

"Face to Face with Scott Peterson," was released Tuesday and explores Scott Peterson's case after his wife Laci vanished from their Modesto home on Christmas Eve 2002.

This is the first time Scott has spoken on camera about the case in 21 years, his sister-in-law Janey Peterson said in a trailer. The last time he spoke on camera was before his arrest, which happened only after his girlfriend came forward to say he told her his 27-year-old wife was gone a month before her actual disappearance.

The three-part series also delves into a team investigating alternate theories about Laci's death.

November marks 20 years since Scott Peterson was convicted of killing his wife, Laci Peterson, and their unborn son, Conner. Scott Peterson is imprisoned at Mule Creek State Prison in Ione, California. He was previously at  San Quentin State Prison.
