MODESTO, Calif. — One person was injured Friday in a crash involving a train in Stanislaus County, according to the Modesto Fire Department.
The crash happened around 3:30 a.m. at Santa Fe Avenue and Yosemite Boulevard.
One person was injured and taken to a hospital, but their injuries were not life-threatening. The fire department said other people were in the car but left the area.
The fire department said the train crew reported the car tried to beat the train. The crash is under investigation.
