MODESTO, Calif. — The Modesto Police Department told ABC10 a pedestrian was killed Thursday morning in Modesto.
The accident happened on Eastbound East Briggsmore Avenue between Oakdale Road and Lakewood Avenue.
A person driving a silver Scion when they hit a person who was standing in the street.
The person that was hit died on the scene, according to the Modesto Police Department. They have not been identified and the Modesto Police Department is working to inform the family.
Police told ABC10 that drugs and alcohol were not a factor in the accident. Police are still investigating and no charges have been made yet.
