One little calf is forever thankful to the Modesto and Stanislaus Fire Departments.
The two departments spent Wednesday at Turlock Lake doing water rescue training. While crews were performing boat operations, they spotted what they thought was a log. It wasn't long before they realized that log was actually the snout of a baby calf.
Crews were able to rescue the baby and reunite it with it's mother.
