MODESTO, Calif. — 6:30 p.m. Update: Police identified the woman as 46-year-old Sierra Morgan of Modesto and the case is being investigated as a murder-suicide.

A woman and a 17-year-old boy were found dead inside a Modesto home during a security check.
The Modesto Police Department said they were called to do the check at a home along Citrus Drive after a caller said a woman hadn't shown up for work. In addition to the caller saying that it was unusual behavior, a neighbor said they hadn't seen the woman for several days.
Police forced their way into the home and found the body of a 17-year-old boy with a gunshot wound, a woman who appeared to have shot herself and a handgun.
There are no outstanding suspects in the incident.
