TRACY, Calif. — Most of San Joaquin County is expected to keep its electricity Saturday evening, the county's Office of Emergency Services says.
At one point, 6,243 Pacific Gas and Electric customers living in the Tracy area were warned that their electricity could be shut off Saturday afternoon due to weather conditions and fire threats promoting public safety power shutoffs.
On Saturday morning, officials said that forecasts had improved reducing that number to only 109 San Joaquin County customers who might lose their power if weather conditions worsen.
According to PG&E maps, people living off Corral Hollow Road near the San Joaquin County line are still at risk of losing electricity as well as residents in rural Alameda and Solano Counties.
If power is cut to that area, those communities could be in the dark for as long as one day beginning at noon Saturday.
