PLACER COUNTY, Calif. — A man died following a motorcycle accident in Placer County Sunday morning.
According to the California Highway Patrol, the accident happened on Old Auburn Foresthill Road, west of Foresthill Road, in the unincorporated area of Placer County. It was reported around 9:40 a.m.
Police said a 2014 Kawasaki motorcycle hit a metal guardrail on the south shoulder of Old Auburn Foresthill Road, and despite efforts to save the rider's life, he died on the way to the hospital.
He was only identified as a 21-year-old man from Sacramento.
Anyone with information on the crash can call the California Highway Patrol.
