Motorcyclist killed in crash with vehicle in Manteca

The area of W. Louise Avenue and Hacienda Avenue has since reopened after being closed.

MANTECA, Calif. — The Manteca Police Department is investigating after a 40-year-old motorcyclist was killed in a crash Tuesday afternoon.

According to police, it happened around 3:45 p.m. at the intersection of Louise and Hacienda avenues.

Police say the motorcyclist was going eastbound at a high rate of speed when they collided with a turning vehicle. The motorcycle ended up crashing into a light pole and knocking it over.

The unidentified motorcyclist was taken to the hospital where he died from his injuries.
