Nate’s Fine Foods plans $11 million Roseville expansion

The company is known for its high-quality prepared foods using locally sourced ingredients.

ROSEVILLE, Calif. — Nate’s Fine Foods, a family-owned business in Roseville, has invested $11 million in expanding the company's facilities.

The company is known for its high-quality prepared foods using locally sourced ingredients. The Roseville facility is located near Industrial Avenue and is a 1-acre building.

Roseville Vice Mayor Krista Bernasconi says the expansion will provide more food options and jobs to Roseville residents.

“I’m delighted to see Nate’s Fine Foods growing here in our community,” said Bernasconi. “Their expansion brings new job opportunities and strengthens local partnerships, while also offering healthy, high-quality food options for our residents. We look forward to the positive impact they will continue to have on our city.”

Some of those products include precooked rice, spaghetti, cous cous, ancient grains and more. The company also just released new 'meal kits' featuring meals like chicken parmesan, veggie bowls and more.

These products are distributed through providers like US Foods, Sysco and McClain. Nate’s Fine Foods also works with private full truckloads to single destinations.

The company serves the K-12 education system, prepared foods and delis, industrial/restaurants and the military. Those interested can purchase the company’s food or submit a sample request through an online sheet on their website.

With the current demand for the company's premade food options, Nate’s Fine Foods is finalizing plans for a $11 million expansion. This expansion includes $6.2 million in construction and building upgrades, and $5 million in equipment.

A spokesperson for Nate's Fine Foods says the expansion be focused on kettle items.

"Mashed potatoes, sauces, refried beans. We will be installing state-of-the-art kettles to match our existing technology and offer more kitchen solutions," a spokesperson told ABC10.

Project organizers are hoping to break ground in 2025 and have the improvements done by 2027. The expansion is set to bring about $924 million in regional economic output over five years.
