Nearly 3,600 without power in Plumas County

PLUMAS COUNTY, Calif. — More than 3,600 PG&E customers in Plumas County are without power due to an outage Tuesday evening. The number is down from 8,000 earlier in the evening.

According to PG&E, the outage was reported around 2:40 p.m. It's not clear what caused the outage at this time. The outages were reported in the area of Plumas National Forest and Lake Almanor, but as of 10:45 p.m., the ones in the Lake Almanor area are ongoing.

Power is expected to return around 11 p.m.
