New turf in Folsom Palladio saves on water use, landscaping costs

Folsom also encourages water conservation through five different rebate incentives, including turf replacement at private residences.

FOLSOM, Calif. — The Palladio shopping center in Folsom is now sporting new artificial turf.

On Aug. 26, construction was completed on the turf in the Piazza venue, which will save on water costs and landscaping efforts, according to Palladio’s general manager Gloria Wright. Installation took about a week, she said.

The turf will also provide an area for families usable year-round, Wright said.

Marcus Yasutake, the city’s environmental and water resources director, said the turf will contribute to the water conservation in Folsom.

“Any reduction of regular grass within the city does improve overall water conservation efforts,” Yasutake said.

Folsom encourages water conservation with five separate rebate incentives available to city residents on its website, including turf replacement at private residences.
