CALIFORNIA, USA — Ski and snowboard season is officially upon us as resorts have either already opened or plan to open in the upcoming days or weeks.
In October, Homewood Mountain Resort near Lake Tahoe announced its not will be operating this ski season.
Resorts that have already opened include Mt. Rose and Mammoth Mountain in Nevada. Heavenly Lake Tahoe, Northstar, Boreal Mountain and Palisades Tahoe plan to open sometime this week.

Donner Ski Ranch doesn't have a set opening date, but told ABC10 it hopes to open on Thanksgiving weekend on Nov. 29. The opening date will depend on the weather.
