MANTECA, Calif. — One person is dead and several others are critically injured after a highway crash involving five cars Tuesday, according to the Manteca Fire Department.
Officials said the collision happened on the eastbound lanes of Highway 120. Photos shared by the agency on social media show debris on the road along with a damaged vehicle.
The California Highway Patrol Tracy office and the fire department are asking drivers to avoid the area and use alternate routes.
Officials recommend drivers passing through Tracy use Interstate 580 as an alternate route and those traveling on I-205 should expect delays.
