Pedestrian hospitalized after being hit by car in North Highlands

CHP says the pedestrian – identified only as a man in his 30s – was walking westbound across Watt when he walked directly in front of a vehicle.

SACRAMENTO, Calif. — A pedestrian was left with major injuries after being hit by at least one vehicle Monday night.

According to the California Highway Patrol, it happened along the 4600 block of Watt Avenue.

CHP says the pedestrian – identified only as a man in his 30s – was walking westbound across Watt when he walked directly in front of a vehicle. He was hit and thrown into the #2 lane of southbound Watt.

The pedestrian was taken to the hospital with major injuries, and no drivers were injured.
