Pedestrian hit, killed by car in Yuba County

YUBA COUNTY, Calif. — A pedestrian was hit and killed by a car in Yuba County Saturday night.

According to the California Highway Patrol, the collision happened along Highway 70, north of Magnolia Road, just before 11 p.m.

Police said a Chevy Trail Blazer was heading north on the roadway around 65 miles per hour when a man crossed into its path. The man was hit and ultimately died.

His name, age and city of residence haven't been released at this time.

Alcohol and drugs are not suspected as factors in the crash.
