Person found dead in Solano County, police searching for possible hit-and-run driver

SOLANO COUNTY, Calif. — Fairfield police are looking for information about a possible hit-and-run that left a person dead early Tuesday morning. 

The Fairfield Police Department says an officer found a person lying on the shoulder of Air Base Parkway near Wiley Lane around 1 a.m. The person was hit by a car but no one else was around, according to police.

Medical officials responded to the scene and pronounced the person dead, keeping the road closed until 7 a.m. while officers investigated. 

Officials have not released any information about the car and the person that was hit, and are still investigating.
