PLACERVILLE, Calif. — A person was shot and killed by El Dorado County Sheriff's Office deputies after serving a search warrant in Placerville Wednesday, according to officials.
The sheriff's office was serving the warrant in the area of Baco Drive and Blairs Lane.
Officials say a person came to the door "with what appeared to be a firearm," resulting in officials shooting at and eventually killing them.
Traffic Control Points have been set up at Blairs Lane and Broadway in Placerville. People are asked to stay out of the area while officials investigate.
