PLACER COUNTY, Calif. — Election night is finally here for Placer County. Among them are contests that could shape who represent Districts 3, 4, and 5 on the Placer County Board of Supervisors. Also, Loomis will be voting on Measure A to make the Town Clerk an appointed position.
The first wave of results will come in around 8:15 p.m. on election night. These will be the counted Vote by Mail ballots that are processed before Election Day.
Around 10 p.m., the results from the votes cast during the voting period at the in-person vote centers will be released in the first update. Updates will come out every 90 minutes to two hours until 100% of the vote centers have reported results.
The county elections office will then release the final update for the evening. In previous elections, the final update has come out as early as 11 p.m. or as late as 3 a.m.
Updates will get spread out further after election night until the vote is certified.

► Key Dates: According to the California Secretary of State’s office, vote-by-mail ballots must be postmarked by March 5 and arrive at county elections offices by March 12. The last day for county election officials to certify the primary election results is April 4.
