ROSEVILLE, Calif. — Placer Pride is returning for its third year in Roseville's Royer Park Saturday.
It's happening from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. May 18 and admission is free. People can register for free tickets HERE.
There will be entertainment at the event including the Sacramento Gay Men’s Chorus, Manuia Polynesian Revue of Rocklin, Ensamble Folclórico Colibrí from San Jose, local drag artists and other performers.
There will be more than 70 booths with resources as well as vendors and local businesses. This is nearly double the booths they had last year.
This year there will be an award ceremony for “Friend of the Community” and “Lifetime Achievement” awards, according to Jacque Vaughn, the board vice president of the Placer LGBTQ+ Center.
Food trucks will be at the event for people to purchase food and drinks. There will also be lawn games and kids' crafts and games.
Placer Pride said it's hiring private security and coordinating with the Roseville Police Department as a precaution to ensure the event is safe.
Attendees can bring a refillable water bottle, beach chair or blanket and sunscreen.

People can donate $15 at the event to get a Placer Pride tote bag, a $25 donation to get a Placer LGBTQ+ Center Umbrella or a $35 donation to get both items. The items are available while supplies last.
