PLACERVILLE, Calif. — A Placerville restaurant is the latest winner of Food Network's new show "Best Bite in Town."

Enchanted Forest Dining Experience won with its Irish Gold Miner's Pasty Pie, which is a half-moon pastry filled with corned beef, Yukon gold mashed potatoes, sauerkraut, caraway seeds and sprinkled with edible 24K gold.

"It was so exciting to share our unique Enchanted Forest-themed restaurant with the world and such a heartwarming honor to win Best Bite in Town," said Kaitlyn Keyt, the creator and owner. "The feeling was an overwhelming, surreal emotion that I can honestly say I had never felt before."

The Enchanted Forest won $5,000 with another $5,000 for their favorite charity. Keyt said they chose an animal rescue sanctuary for the charity.

Guy Fieri sent his friend, actor and television presenter Noah Cappe, to find the best bites in Placerville. Along with chefs Aarti Sequeira and Joe Sasto, the trio visited two restaurants each but only chose one dish to serve up for the showcase.

The restaurants featured included Amore Mio Italian Bistro, Enchanted Forest Dining Experience, Rocker Oysterfellers, Smith Flat House Cellar & Grill, Hog Wild BBQ and Placerville Public House.

Rocker Oysterfellers and Hog Wild BBQ made it into the top three. Rocker Oysterfellers served a Rocker Oysterfeller, which is a grilled oyster with arugula, bacon, cream cheese and a cornbread crust. Hog Wild BBQ served its Angry Pit Master sandwich, which includes chopped brisket topped with pulled pork, sliced jalapenos, cole slaw and grilled onion.

Kathleen Dodge, the executive director of the El Dorado Lake Tahoe Film and Media Office, said it was an absolute pleasure to work with the crew and exciting to see people in the local community be part of the audience.

"They cared so much about our community and the story was about our community and about the wonderful restaurants that we have and the fun of coming to a town like Placerville and experiencing all the unique things," Dodge previously told ABC10.

The show aired Friday, April 26 at 9 p.m. on Food Network. Find upcoming showtimes HERE.

The first episode of "Best Bite in Town," featured several Davis restaurants. The Hotdogger was declared the winner after judges tasted its chicken Thai sausage with kefir lime leaves and a spicy Thai salsa.
