MODESTO, Calif. — One person died after a small aircraft crashed near the Modesto Airport Wednesday afternoon.
The FAA told ABC10 it happened around 2 p.m. and the plane involved was a twin-engine Cessna 414.
According to the Stanislaus County Sheriff’s Office, traffic on the Mitchell Road Bridge is being delayed for emergency response.
The sheriff’s office says only one person was on the plane at the time it crashed, and they were pronounced dead at the scene.
