Deputies are investigating after a body was found following a police pursuit near Lake Tahoe Sunday.
Suspicious gunshots were reported to the El Dorado County Sheriff's Department just before 12:45 p.m. near Timber Wolf Drive and Alder Street in Tahoma.
When deputies arrived they could hear gunshots coming from a known felon's address.
The suspect left the home leading to a police pursuit, ending with the suspect in custody at the Homewood Ski Resort.
When deputies entered the home for a welfare check they found a body inside. Detectives are investigating this as a suspicious death, involving two counties and multiple crime scenes.
Investigators do not believe that are any safety threats in Tahoma or El Dorado/Placer Counties at this time.
