Khang Nguyen is a massage therapist. He was outside City Hall for the first time giving free massages to those in attendance of the special City Council meeting addressing concerns over the Stephon Clark shooting.
Nguyen said this is his way of helping, despite it being awkward because he hasn't been at any protest before.
"I wanted to give massages to heal in any way I can," Nguyen said. "I may not be well versed in politics or social issues as much as I would like to."
Although it's a first time for Nguyen, it's a third time for Michele Dillehunt.
"I think more people should be involved," Dillehunt said. "Everybody is busy, but this is important."
Dillehunt is here for Stephon Clark's family and her son.
"My son was killed," Dillehunt said. "January 10th, 2009, and I feel like I need to do this for my son, too."
This time, her 9-year-old cousin wanted to show support too.
"Every day I had something to do, but I stopped cause this is important," Dillehunt said. "I have to be here."
