MODESTO, Calif. — Multiple people were arrested Wednesday as the Stanislaus Special Investigations Unit wrapped up an investigation into ‘outlaw motorcycle gang activity.’
According to the Stanislaus County Sheriff’s Office, 12 search warrants were executed simultaneously.
The sheriff’s office says its investigation began after acts of violence involving rival Hells Angels, Salida Nomads and Mongols.
Investigators obtained the search warrants with help from the FBI, San Joaquin County and Tuolumne County law enforcement agencies.
An exact number of people arrested wasn’t immediately available, but investigators say they seized about 50 guns, silencers, gang insignia, narcotics, bomb making explosive materials and ammunition.
The investigation is ongoing.
