SACRAMENTO, Calif. — A regional grocery chain in Sacramento is offering a new discount program for active-duty and retired military members.
Raley’s started a new discount program offering service members, first responders and their families a 10% discount on the first Tuesday of each month. The discount is applied to both in-store and online purchases.
Any member of the qualified groups will need to show proper identification such as a military ID for a one-time verification to receive the discount.
“We are truly humbled by the dedication of our nation’s military and first responders,” said Keith Knopf, President & Chief Executive Officer for The Raley’s Companies in a press release. “While we could never repay the selfless work of these brave and patriotic individuals, we wish to honor their service and share our gratitude for all they do —and have done.”
The discount will also be available on Memorial Day, July 4 and Veterans Day.
Items excluded from the discount include milk, alcohol and gift cards.
The Raley’s company operates 121 grocery stores in Northern California and Nevada. The discount is available at all Raley’s, Bel Air, Nob Hill Foods and Raley’s O-N-E Market locations.
