RANCHO CORDOVA, Calif. — A man is in critical condition after being shot in the chest outside of a 7-Eleven convenience store in Rancho Cordova.
According to the Sacramento County Sheriff’s Office, it happened around 10 p.m. at the location on Mills Station Road.
Deputies say the shooting happened in the parking lot, the victim stumbled inside, and employees called 911.
One person was detained, but it’s unclear if they are connected to the shooting.
The sheriff’s office says the man is in critical condition.
