Crews battle second-alarm fire at multi-business complex in Rancho Cordova | Update

The fire was reported along the 11000 block of Folsom Boulevard in Rancho Cordova.

RANCHO CORDOVA, Calif. — Crews are investigating a fire at a business complex in Rancho Cordova that started Thursday night.

The Sacramento Metropolitan Fire District said the fire was reported along the 11000 block of Folsom Boulevard and triggered a second-alarm response around 11 p.m.

Officials said the blaze went through the roof of a multi-unit business complex. The fire district said half a dozen businesses were impacted by the fire.

There weren't any sprinklers in the buildings, which the fire district said most likely led to a more intense fire.

Building engineers with Sacramento County are requesting stabilization of the complex before anyone goes into the impacted area.

According to the fire district, the fire was knocked down in about 40 minutes. No injuries have been reported.

The fire is under investigation.
