SACRAMENTO, Calif. — A woman died after trying to ride on the coupler of a Sacramento Regional Transit train in Rancho Cordova.
According to SacRT, the woman was illegally riding on the coupler of the train. The coupler is a piece that connects the train cars.
She fell off the train near the Mather Field/Mills Station and died.
Train service was temporarily suspended on the Gold Line between Sunrise and Watt/Manlove stations while police were on scene.
Train service resumed by 7 p.m.
No employees or passengers were injured.
