SACRAMENTO, Calif. — A concert at the Golden 1 Center has been postponed due to safety concerns, according to the venue.
Hip-hop artist Rod Wave was slated to perform at the downtown Sacramento venue, but the concert has been pushed back to Saturday after police received reports of a possible shooting near the arena.
The Sacramento Police Department said officers received reports of a possible shooting around 9 p.m. and concert goers were told to evacuate the Golden 1 Center.
After a premilitary investigation, police said there was no evidence found of a shooting and no injuries, but fireworks were located in the DOCO plaza.
"Tonight's Rod Wave show at Golden 1 Center has been postponed to tomorrow," the Golden 1 Center said on its X account. "The safety of our guests and fans is our number one priority."
Its unknown if fans will be able to get a refund for the concert.
