SOLANO COUNTY, Calif. — A varsity baseball coach at Rio Vista High School is on paid administrative leave amid an investigation into alleged staff misconduct.
The announcement came Tuesday via a statement from River Delta Unified School District Superintendent Kathy Wright.
“Student safety is our top priority, so we are taking the reports regarding the alleged misconduct very seriously which is the reason for the decision to place this teacher and Varsity Baseball Coach on paid administrative leave,” wrote Wright.
The district declined to detail the allegations, saying they’d be observing ‘strict confidentiality’ to ‘protect the integrity of the investigation.’
Anyone with information can contact a member of the district’s administrative team or the Solano County Sheriff’s Office.
According to a Rio Vista Police Department spokesperson, the subject of the investigation is not in custody and has not been charged or arrested with anything at this time.
